We’re currently hiring for the following positions:
HVAC Load & Energy Calculation Technician — Immediate Opening
Location: Venice, FL (in-office, full-time)
Perform residential and commercial Manual J, S, and Energy Code calculations to support permitting and design compliance. This position involves direct coordination with clients, contractors, and in-house engineers to deliver accurate and timely reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Manual J, S, and D reports using project data
- Perform Energy Code calculations for residential and commercial buildings
- Review input data and ensure accuracy in reports
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, architects, and homeowners to meet permitting deadlines
- Learn advanced calculation methods from experienced staff
Qualifications:
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience or education related to HVAC, construction, or engineering
- Proficiency with computers and basic Excel or PDF tools
- Familiarity with Florida Building Code and HVAC principles preferred
In-office position; not hybrid or remote
Senior Mechanical Engineer (Licensed PE)
Location: Florida-based (hybrid or in-office)
Lead HVAC design, energy modeling, and building code compliance projects for residential and commercial applications. You’ll oversee technical system design staff, review commercial calculations, and ensure documentation meets Florida Building Code standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and review Manual J, S, D, and Energy Code reports
- Provide mechanical design input for residential and commercial projects
- Stamp and sign calculations as qualifying engineer under FBPE license
- Support training and mentoring of junior staff
- Interface with clients, contractors, and building departments
Qualifications:
- Florida PE license (Mechanical) or eligibility to obtain
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC design or load/energy calculation experience
- Familiarity with EnergyGauge, Manual J/S/D standards, and Florida Energy Code
